Procedure
for Raising Nursery for Rice Transplanter (Riding type).

1)

Spread plastic paper on the leveled surface
( 1 mtr width & 10 mtr length, 35 sq.mtr
area is needed for one acre transplanting ).

Fill the sleeved soil mixture with ¾" thickness
( mixture of
soil & composed organic manure in 3:1 ratio ). |

If the soil mixture is dry make it wet and spread the germinated
seeds at 0.40 - 0.50 kg per sq.ft. |

4)
|
Cover the bed with straws for quick germination. |
 |
5)
|
Sprinkle water for 4 days on the bed. Then remove the straws gently and after that irrigate the water
through channels. |
 |
6)
|
Nursery will be ready with in 18 - 22 days ( 6" - 8" height of nursery is
advisable ). |

7)
|
Lift the nursery & turn it cut into pieces with 230mm width & 500mm length.

8)
|
Land preparation is prepared according to soil condition i.e 3 - 6 days before
transplanting. It is advisable that light weighted machineries like power tillers &
small tractors with rotary is preferred for land preparation. |

9)
|
After land preparation and the land is settled the Rice Transplanter
can enter the field.
Nursery
pieces can be loaded in the nursery trays & the machine is ready
to transplant. |
